Let’s read the story of “How the Beetle Got Her Gorgeous Coat."
Let’s imagine that YOU are beetle — what colors would you choose for your new coat?
Let’s draw a big beetle on a piece of paper with semi-circles for her wings. Let’s paint a gorgeous design on one wing.
While the paint is still wet, let’s fold the paper in half and use our hands to press the paint onto the other half of the paper to make a matching image on the opposite wing.
Let’s carefully open the paper again to see beetle’s gorgeous new coat!
