EVERY family in San Francisco is ready to play and ready to learn! Sparkler Learning is working with the SF Department of Early Childhood to help families explore new ways to play to support healthy early learning and development. Families will find posters across the city — in schools and libraries and beyond — that will encourage play on the go, at home, and in between. Why? Play is vital to early childhood development. When families play together, they support children’s cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language growth; they give children the opportunity to explore their environment, test ideas, build relationships, and develop skills that form the foundation for everything that comes next as they grow!

How is my child learning and growing?
Families can answer a series of questions on Sparkler called the Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ), which will help them learn about how their child is developing from 2 months – 5.5 years. It’s free. Download and sign up with the code SF to link with Support for Families or your program’s code.
