Kidventure Episode
In this Kidventure episode of Little Kids, Big Hearts, Todd and three new friends, Avery (age 6), Rose (age 8), and Nicholas (almost 7), float off on dandelion parachutes to the magical Land of Qook-a-lackas, where something feels very wrong. Their friend Qwade, a Qook-a-lacka brought to life by award-winning Broadway actor Wade McCollum, needs their help. The Quilips have been over-picked, the gummy bears are looking tired, the bees are struggling, and the weather has been all mixed up. Together, the kids become nature detectives, piecing together clues and coming up with thoughtful ideas about how to help. From planting new seeds, to giving the garden a rest, to making a Qook-a-lacka promise to try a little better every day, these three kids prove that young people can think big about the world we all share. Before the adventure, Todd and the kids talk about what they love about the earth, what worries them about the environment, and what small things each of them already does to help. Avery turns a juice box into a unicorn, Rose picks up beach trash with her friends, and Nicholas gives us all a reason to think twice about scorpions.
